The Order of Our Opening Scene - Jack and Kye

Here is our order for the names of our actors and the order each shot will actually go in and be presented. We jotted some notes down on the paper so it is clear to us when putting it together.

In todays lessons, we got some more feedback from a director who came in to see our work. We have started filming our new shots in in order to replace them with our old shots that we feel do not work as well as others. We have also started thinking of many more meaningful shots we can add to our sequence. Our aim is to complete this by the end of the week.

In todays lesson, my group and I watched our opening sequence and went over things we may change or add. We also made a brief timetable as to when we are meeting and going to film. We are determined to have our coursework up to scratch and intact by the end of this week.

 Today, we received feedback from the focus group. These are the things we picked up:

• Clips were too long. 
• No titles. 
• Sound should be in sync with clips. 
• Colouring issues. 

 We will take these into account to make a perfect 2nd draft.

BFI Southbank trip - Maryam

Yesterday, the year 12's went on a trip to the BFI Southbank. We watched trailers for films and answered questions which included; how it would appeal to a Uk audience and a Us/International audience. In addition,we watched the film '71' and had the privilege of meeting the producer,finding out background information and asking personal questions. I gained a lot of information through the day and felt it was very effective.

Coursework Draft 1 - Kye, Maryam, Jack, Klevis

Draft Last Day - Jack, Kye, Klevis and Maryam

Today is the last day to hand in our first draft and we are not the happiest of people. Our first draft is quite good in our opinion but we need much more time to make our project the best it can possibly be. We have finished our different after effect pieces but we feel they can all be shot much better and edited even more than they already are. It is important that after this draft is given in, we get to work on an improved version of our work so it becomes better than before. We hope it can improve drastically. 

Lesson Update - Kye

Today, I put together a lot of the double exposure scenes. I learnt a lot of about After Effects today, but I still find it very difficult. 

Title Idea - Maryam

In the lesson, i have thought about and researched some titles for out opening sequence. As a group we decided that we need a specific type of handwriting to stand out and flow with the background. I used Font space and came up with this. The titles will be in Capitals.

 I like the titles in this opening credits. I would want the titles in our coursework, to be like this, which is slick and clean.

 We are finishing up the first draft of our coursework. Kye is in the process of making the music. Klevis did editing. Kye and Jack did research on titles. Maryam has loooked at different music ideas as well as fonts to use for the title.
