Tonight, I watched Black Mass starring Johnny Depp and many more stars. The film had non-linear story telling, which was used effectively. The present scenes are all close ups, as they are being questioned. The film used a lot of tracking shots, which created a contrapuntal effect as the killings were very violent.
One thing I didn't really like about the film was that I thought there could've been more focus on Johnny Depp's character, as it felt that it was mostly on Joel Edgerton's character.
